The silky texture and elegance is simply outstanding, as is the wonderful astringency and tension. Red currant jelly, red cherry cordial, cola and peat moss flavors captivate the senses. Best Pinot Noir I have to date. The evolution of this wine over a three day period was something to behold. I cannot wait for my next experience.

Prestigeläge i Santa Cruz från kultförklarad f.d garagevinmakare. Jäst med stjälkar. Tydligt utvecklad. Jordig karaktär och riktigt tilldragande doft. Bred i smaken. Syrliga bär men med mognad, oliver, blodapelsin, peppar, kaffesump, krossade stenar. Värd 899 kr = nja till ja.

On the nose a whiff of heavy toast coconut, asian spice, intense cranberry, wild strawberry. On the palate, lively acidity and density, cranberry, wild strawberry, soft oak, white pepper, more strawberry, and serious tannic grip on the finish. I would like this more if the oak was a little less dominant on the nose.

From 375 ml - A melange of slightly confected dark cherry and raspberry, spice, and evergreen bough steminess, nice but a little bitter on the finish. It grows on me though, and I liked the last glass much more than the first. It also showed better with food.

Oct 25th, 2018From 375 ml. Spicy red fruit with a distinct stemmy evergreen bough edge and hints of dried tangerine peel. On its own the tannin sticks out with a little bitterness on the finish, but the bitterness disappears when the wine follows a bite of a Flannery NY strip. It is a little more awkward than the last bottle I had last May, but is still compelling.
