Violet notes with some spice. Smooth and consistent over the few hours we had it decanted.

Red plum, dried herbs and spice. Rambunctious without being over the top. #pasorobles

Not as firmly structured as the 2012. But still very enjoyable.

Happy national wine day. Ridge’s wines have always been special to me. The 2005 Lytton Springs is one of the first wines that I vividly remember back when I first got into wine. This Paso Robles Zin was very structured, Dark fruits on the nose. Blackberries, cassis, fresh cracked black pepper, hint of vanilla on palate. Nice smooth finish. Tried this at a restaurant but have 2 bottles stored away back home. Think this guy will be pretty special in 2-3 years. Can’t recall having a bad Ridge wine. One of my favorite producers for the money.

Had this at home 1/5/17 with Kallem. Liked it a lot, a bit simpler than some Ridge zin, but nice drinking.
