Deep purple, the 2018 Ridge Estate Cabernet Sauvignon shows pronouned aromas of blackcurrant, blackberries, tobacco, coffee, vanilla, cloves, dark chocolate, pine and menthol. Medium to full bodied with ripe, fine grained tannins and fresh acidity, this is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon dominated blend from the Santa Cruz Mountains. Drink from 2024 until 2040.

Such delicious, well made wine with great balance between structure and fruit density. Decanted for a few hours but really needs to be put away for a while. Crazy that this is the approachable Monte Bello!

Unlike past years, this is full bodied and nicely balanced with little bottle aging. None to cellar as I had both bottles immediately.
