First time trying wine from this Roagna vineyard and I’m smitten. Such a filigreed Nebbiolo and it was surprisingly open from the get-go. Perfumed, pure, and just brimming with nervy, stony energy. On the nose, it was a blast of roses, cherries, strawberries, crushed stones, and menthol, along with traces of rosemary and tar. Just so juicy, silky, and mineral on the palate. It felt delicate on a Nebbiolo-scale, but there was this forceful nature that was absolutely captivating.
