Feb 15th, 2014Oh boy, how do I handle this wine. Having it young was too intense to drink, having at some point later seemed to be over the hill but now thinking that was a flawed bottle. This one was excellent with a ton of dark fruits mainly blackberries, plumbs and others. Also, had some cola and wood notes. Excellent from start to the long finish. Think it could go for some more years but why bother when drinking so great now. This is my last bottle and that’s fine since I’m an old guy and can’t be buying expensive wines that you need to hold for 10 plus years

Apr 23rd, 2024rinkable but over the hill. Had one bottle at about 5 years old and so over the top it was undrinkable. So I thought I’d let it sit for awhile and I guess a bit too long. The color was showing its age and the nose did not show much. The taste had some fruit but again that age came through

Tastes Great! All P/N should be this deep &
concentrated! No green stem or weak fruit profile here. Big time wine from Gary Pisoni’s
Santa Lucia Highlands Vineyard. If California had Grand Cru designations, the Pisoni Vineyard would be tagged! This 2011 Roar Pisoni is still a Baby 👶; with a long finish and great depth. Color “Cherry Cola” Nose intense!
If you haven’t had a Pisoni P/N, time to start!
“Bob Jr.” -Jeb Dunnuck Review here from his Wine Advocate stint: Cheers 🍇🍷👍🏻👏🏻
“The most sweetly fruited and approachable, the 2011 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard has sweet strawberry, kirsch, underbrush, spice box and licorice aromas and flavors all soaring from the glass.” (JD) (8/2013)
