Napa Valley Merlot

Keenan checked my Merlot boxes. Nice medium weight, with great balance, an elegant mid palate, and enough tannin to retain structure. Tasted consecutively with the Pride and Duckhorn Merlots, and Keenan was my favorite (it is also the best value of the 3). Cheers!

One of Napa’s finest Merlots. Spring Mountain fruit yields a nice roll of the back, light tannins and solid mid-palette treat.

Ripe black cherries and blackberries with underlying herbal aromas (peppercorn, sage). Medium body, medium acidity and strong but not overpowering tannins. Ready to pair with beef bourguignon on a cold Boxing Day night. #underthecellar

Fan of Keenan wines and this didn’t disappoint. Balance of dark berries with spice and pepper. Medium tannins and one that could likely sit for several more years.

Body medium, rich color, nose tobacco

This is ridiculously good.

Solid Merlot. Oak nose, full body, soft and smooth. Black cherry on palate.
