Private Selection Aged in Bourbon Barrels Monterey County Cabernet Sauvignon

A decent value relative to other bourbon barrel wines. Burnt caramel, vanilla, boozyness surrounded by dark fruit.

Heavy with sweet note, $12 but drinks like $20

This wine is amazing. Comparable to the Stave and Steel but not as “thick”

Yummy with hints of blackberry, great with aged sharp white cheddar cheese.

Very smooth, dark fruit, vanilla and whiskey flavors for sure. I think the bourbon barrel is almost too strong, the first glass is nice but the second left me sort of tired of this flavor, no longer wanted more. There is a sourness that develops on my tongue overtime that made me want to wash it away with a drier cab.
