Many of these pre 1998 vintages were picked around 23 to 23.5. Not ripe by today's standards but balanced, food friendly wines that aged beautifully... The 95 is incredible. Higher in acid than the 94 or 96 with great structure. This wine is drinking beautiful now...

Stunning. Leather, earth, with violets and potpourri on the nose. Lots of fruit here, though hard to identify. I'd say cassis and both red and blue berries. Olives. Tannins are full and velvety and acidity still balances it nicely. It's one of those power and finesse wines. Great with food and enjoyable on it's own.

95' It's my favorite vintage(drinking now) from the 1990s from Robert Mondavi. The tannins and acidity are still there . A short decanting of 30 minutes will expose a beautifully structured wine . You certainly can't go wrong with this one.
