Robledo Family Winery
Sixth Edition Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim. Doesn't show much age.
Nose of blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, figs, raisins, vanilla, cedar, licorice, cola, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, earth, light black tea and graphite.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, cooked plums, black cherries, dried fruits, cedar, tobacco leaf, light earth, herbs, chocolates, coffee, black pepper and light vegetables.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious 12 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Shows great complexity at this point.
Rich, yet elegant. Fruit forward and smooth. A gorgeous wine.
Showing a beautiful nose with so much complexity. I love it.
I had it 3 years ago, and it is drinking even better now.
I did not decant it this time, and let it open up in the bottle. Good right out of the bottle, but so much better after 2 hours of airtime.
Peaking now and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.
A great sipping wine. I had it all by itself, but will also pair nicely with a nice piece of steak.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
94 points.
$110.
