Smooth with somewhat high acidity. Note to self: brush teeth afterwards, lest it eat your enamel. But the taste is worth it; cherries, darker fruit, a bit of vanilla... That'll do. Kind of reminds me of the underappreciated (in my opinion) Barbera.

Smells like black licorice (I don’t like taste but aroma nice) smooth fruit taste and short dry finish. Why such high rating? Doesn’t taste like the horrible black licorice and fig scent. Tastes much better. than smell. smooth dark fruit taste

Great wine (what Barolo isn't). A little more fruit forward than I remember of other Barolos. Still a great wine. Didn't taste much difference between an hour after opening & the next day.
