2005 vintage on Aug 30, 2020. Required about an hour of decanting to come around. At first the fruit was missing, but after an hour it came alive to a California pinot.

Wonderful nose of rich, loamy forest dirt that translated into subtle red fruity hat adds to the overall palette. A really nice wine, but not as concentrated as some of the pinots that I rate more highly.

Ooh la la - what a wonderful wine! Forest floor with a subtle hint of red fruit. Integrated acids enrich this wine with soft cheeses (in our case). This wine is still in its prime!

After an hour of decanting the nose was reminiscent of a box of freshly opened crayons, florals, forest floor and lead. The palate introduced a subtle bouquet of raspberries and spice, but forest floor and earth dominated. The finish was slightly washed out -- probably a bit past it's peak.

Not perfectly stored for this bottle's first 3 years... So for us, past prime but still drinking. This one beat out older Rochioli vintages which did not make it to 2017. Smooth, no acid left, but still some black cherry goodness.
