I was determined not to like this style of Sauvignon Blanc, but I really do like it. The nose smells almost like a southern Rhône with hints of honey, beeswax, minerals, warm pear compote. The mid-palate is really round and creamy: the oak regimen is clearly noticeable, but not in a bad way. Decent acidity but not as much as I would really like. A head scratching wine unlike most of the SBs I have ever tasted.
