Knotty Vines Northern Sonoma Zinfandel

Aged beautifully, fruity and rich round flavor with minimal tartness on the back of the tongue. Notes of coffee and plum, smooth and satisfying. Better than I expected.

Prefer stronger berry notes. Hints of spice. Dry

Not a big fan of Rodney Strong but off of a recommendation this is a great Zin very pleased!

This bottle hits all the right points for the price point. Flavors are there for raspberry and cherry, but not very fruit forward, which is a good thing. The fruit hits first but is quickly joined with an excellent oak pairing. The oak is not overbearing and complements the fruit. You can tell the wine was exposed to American and French oak yet surprisingly lacks the vanilla note. The finish have great pepper spice characteristics but it does not linger long. Overall this wine does an excellent job of blending the different key flavors expected in a Zin. I would call this a good introduction wine for people that want to try a Zin, but are intimidated by the possible bold spice that many have.

Drank in Dave' s house. A bit too fruity. Graphite and blackberry aftertaste.

One of my hair stylist's favorite wineries so I thought I'd give it a whirl. Definitely a strong flavor of spiciness in the form of cinnamon, perhaps? Aroma of black licorice with just a hint of dark ripe berries.

Great thanksgiving day wine.

I Mis-rated. It's 8.6

Bit too sweet for me.

Great, deep garnet color. A little closed on the nose. Peppery on the palate, with lots of dark fruits, blackberry-black currant.
