The 2022 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru, 80% aged in used barrels, has quite a striking and powerful bouquet. It evinces a bit of wood contact that will need a few months to be fully subsumed, yet there is plenty of fruit to soak that up. The palate is very well-balanced, with a bright entry, peachy and zesty. The 2022 has quite a precocious, irresistible finish. It's not the most complex Vaudésir, but you'll have no regrets finding it in your glass. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2024)
