Rudd
Samantha's Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Unlike the Oakville Estate this was bright and generous on pop. It continued to shed tannins and round out with time and air. Lots of purple. Violet hues, ripe plum and Adrian Peterson (purple Jesus)....hedonistic yet inviting and comfortable. Keeping it classy but the pictures in my head of the after wine activity would certainly qualify as my most epic Delectable post. I promise a future Jessica pic in the future. It would be selfish not to share.

Jul 7th, 2017Wonderful slightly green notes of cab franc on the nose. Dark fruit and spice on the palate with supple fine tannins.

Jun 7th, 2016This is great, not terrific. I would have guessed older blind.

Oct 7th, 2020Wonderful wine with an awesome full body with mature tannins but room to grow. Great accents of leather and dark fruit!

May 10th, 2017I remembered this wine differently from how it drank tonight. My hopes were for the red berry forefront with flavors of black fruit and a slight earthy tone on the back end, as remembered. This bottle had me wondering if I missed the mark on my other bottles. This presented red fruit forward on the nose with a breath of alcohol and lacked both the punch I was expecting with a 2012 Cabernet and complexity to follow. It needed an hour+ to open up but still remained a bit thin. A few more years in the bottle would not hurt it at all. Wish I had another for a re-try in 2018.
