From 375 ml bought at the Cellar Door 5 Years ago. Initially not showing a lot of Cabernet characteristics. 51% Cabernet Sauvignon; 35 % Merlot; 7% Cabernet Franc; and 3% Malbec. Some Cabernet mint Characters but not typical of some of the excellent Cabernets from Stellenbosch. One of the 1001 Wines.

Mid Ruby. A complex blend being 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec. Aromas of Cigar leaf and Mint. From an Aussie perspective like Coonawarra. On the palate restrained berry fruit, minerality and low oak influence. A good expression of new world Cabernet blend which opened up with air giving a delightful perfume. Bought this at the winery in 2012 in Stellenbosch. We see very few quality South African wines like this one in Australia, and from reading Wine Spectator, a limited amount in the USA. Do they drink all the good stuff themselves? One of the 1001 wines.
