Nov 25th, 2018Night 1 of the Fall WNH event in San Antonio. What a killer start to the extended weekend, all courtesy to Shawn and Jennifer for hosting! Tonight was Italian wines.
Underripe heirloom tomato, charred raspberries and birch wood on the nose. Tastes so young on the palate...great acidity. It finishes with a spicy red fruit/black peppercorn note. Great bottle from @Shawn R .

One of the most complex wines I have had. Rich mahogany, cool cellar nose maybe a hint of sweet black fruit. Again, projects this soft texture yet has so many layers on the palate. Madero leaf, toffee and milk chocolate blanket the palate. On the finish I get the return of the black fruits and smoke. Beautiful-
