Yes! Congratulations to Jen for getting our old house sold quickly and at a great price, despite the smokey atmosphere.

Nov 21st, 2018Purple-black in color. Blackberry and currant, with a hint of smoke on the nose. Black plum and the tartness of being unripe plus anise. Quite firm tannins and dry. Really needs to open up yet

Aug 26th, 2017Truly inky dark - like petrol. Exuberantly fruity nose. Tons of fruit and layered with oak, not overpowering. Long finish with a bit of heat (15.7% after all). Needs food but this is nice.

Jan 23rd, 2016Another stunner from Justin Smith, the 2009 Bone Rock is an SMG blend. Took quite a while to open up (perhaps due to the 31% mourvedre in this one). If you plan on drinking it soon I'd suggest at least an hour or two of decanting. Beautiful, intense fruit with a terrific roasted meat component on the nose. Tannins are firm, but the balance is great. Long finish. This is going to merit a much higher rating in a few more years...but it's still terrific now!
