2005 Schrader Beckstoffer To Kalon CS. Dinner at Mast. We should have decanted sooner. Only decanted for an hour or so while, once we sat down to dinner. Opened up a lot as we ate dinner. Super rich and flavorful. Definitely decant longer next time

Subtle but complex nose of cocoa, vanilla, blackberry, earth, spearmint, and smoked peppers. Palate is much more aggressive, with layers of structured tannins and rich dried cherries. This is going to open up and reach the awesome complexity of the nose. Beautiful. A COMPLETELY different wine from the T6 from the same year and vineyard. Thanks to McCusker for bringing some spectacular wines.

Big wine, decanting helped. Went perfectly with rib eye. Tannins softer than expected great fruit and not a big alcohol taste
