Medium deep ruby , with violet rim . Very youthful appearance. Quite closed nose at first then fresh dark cherry, blackberry and strawberry jam, garrigue ,black pepper and a hint of baking spice . On the palate quite intense with fine grippy tannins , fresh acidity and those mixed summer fruits accompanied by a chalky , granite personality . Good length with a saline and black pepper , tinged fresh finish . This comes across as very young but promising . Better in 5 years and will last well a further 10

Slightly brighter ruby than the last , violet hints on the rim. More darker fruit , cassis but also a medicinal quality , mineral also . Quite intense and fresh on the palate , slightly more red fruit , red cherry. Quite gritty tannin again , fresh acidity . Good length . This probably needs less time that the first and probably won’t be as long lived . Drink now and for the next 7-10 years
