Probably a tough crowd for normal Costco drinkers since it isn’t a bombastic in-your-face jammy (Meiomi-esque) Pinot. Light and clean with chocolate raspberries, some cherry notes, high acidity. Not too funky but it’s a NZ pinot so it carries a little farmyard. I like it, especially for $9.

When you open this bottle the fragrance of black berry jumps out immediately, and even more so in the glass. On pouring i was surprised that the color is pale compared to other Pinot Noirs I've tried. First taste is very acidic, and decanting for an hour did not help much. "Wine Spectator" rates this grape acid at 90 points, (really?) But i won't be buying this one again. Product of New Zealand, 12.5% ABV.

I don't think there bottles are consistent. Some say jammy. Not mine. Definitely not mine. Weak, bitter. Nothing really wrong. But absolutely nothing right.
