Baby’s 1st parcela unica and gotta say, it delivered! I like the Envinate Lousas wines—they’re always pretty good but usually a bit green and not profundo imo. This one started that way but as it opened, the high acid rolled off to reveal an extremely terroir driven wine, ripping w tension and minerality. The Lousas mencias usually give fancy n rhone vibes to me (i.e. entry level jamet), but Seoane had more of a juicy mineral burg thing going on (think Irancy) than a meaty rock thing. The bride observed wisely that this wine tasted very mineral and oceanic, but more like a seaside cliff than a briny beach. — a year ago
Just love this wine, from seaside town of Comados (birthplace of Albariño), one of the oldest wineries of the region. Bright pale lemon with pronounced tropical fruit aromas and citrus scents. On the palate pear, apricot and peach flavors with honey lemon zest and hints of salinity. Well balanced with pleasant lively acidity, finishing with mineral, honey and wet stone nuances on the medium ending. Very nice! Should improve over the next few years. Nice value — 3 years ago
Medium ruby garnet , garnet terracotta rim. Slightly sweet , roasted nose, with chestnut some sous bois , grafite , slight seaside hints. After a while a touch more herbal. On the palate quite stern dark fruits , mineral , grafite notes , quite dry tannin and ok balanced acidity . Reasonable length and sous bois , grafite tinged finish . This is still quite young though its appearance is slightly more advanced than the 1988 . Needs a decant and held up well over the 5 hours we had it open . Drink now and over the next 5-10 years. A little pedestrian overall and is outclassed by the superior 1988. — 3 months ago
N: Big acetone, oranges, varnish. This isn’t a seaside fino, as it’s Pedro Ximinez from Montilla-Moriles. Inland. The salinity is less so than in the Jerez models.
P: Nuts , oranges,like a dry marmalade,lots of fruit. Almonds.
Really nice on a hot day.

2022 vintage. 40% Marsanne. 25% Clairette. 30% Ugni Blanc. 5% Bourboulenc. Medium-bodied. For those times when you don't want bubbles, Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc...perfect shellfish and white-fleshed fish pairing along with lunch salads and lighter soups. Or, you could just sip it by the seaside. Tastes entirely appropriate. 10.18.23. — a year ago
In one fell swoop kick off the sandals, throw off the shirt, hop skip across sun-baked flat tile stones and dive with a swan’s assurance into the seaside swimming pool, warmed only by the elements, and just as mysterious, elusive and temperamental…….

Medium copper salmon colour . Slightly waxy dried orange , spiced wild strawberry , touch of resin , sea salt . On the palate this has more fruit , with touches of orange , spiced dried strawberry , roasted nuts, saline seaside hints , balanced acidity and elegant , refined personality. Intense and long , this is probably showing better and more complete than the 2011 I had a few weeks ago . Just starting to get going , but still with a long life ahead. From now and over the next 5 to 10 years perhaps . — 13 days ago
