High alcohol - thin mouthfeel - young wine best on days 2/3 - low concentration throwing me off for Amarone

2012 vintage. Sweet, fruity nose. Deep ruby color. Juicy and balanced with cherry, plum, and fig notes plus a touch of clove. Definitely worth waiting for. 14.5% ABV.

Delicious rich flavor though not quite the amarone raisin flavor we were expecting. Great price though!

Our Valentine wine paired with a sweet and savory dish of salami, almonds, cheeses, dried fruits and fresh raspberry, chocolate, crackers, breads and spreads. Delic! The wine was vibrant, dry and strong notes of fresh fruit. Integrated tannins, medium body.

Fantastic, really the essential Italian wine. The dried grapes are the predominant flavor, with a beautiful complexity, really leaving you with a taste for more.
