Riserva Cannonau di Sardegna

Medium intensity nose sports loads of tangy cherry and raspberry, along with a whiff of sandalwood and a note of sandstony/crushed rock minerality. In the mouth it’s balanced, reasonably concentrated, and bright. Flavors tend toward cherry liqueur and finish with a savory twist. Not as full bodied as some Cannonaus (only 14%). Nice dinner companion.

Very full flavored, dried cherry, broad acidity pushing the fruit through though and well balanced with a fairly long finish.

You want a wine that's good and known to rock antioxidants. This is it.

Deep, rich, textured. Also wishy washy, but progressively less so. Should be enjoyed with a bite of some sort, perhaps a fat ribeye!

More extracted than previous vintages, but a good everyday Italian red.

Blueberry, orange zest, light tannin, hint of oak, fruity mid-palate, short finish.

Jane had and liked it. Maybe a bit heavier than Marc prefers (he didn’t try it). Overall Jane would buy again.
