From the rolling, Piedmontese hills this delightfully smooth medium bodied DOC Northern Italian wine is under most’s radar. Produced from the ancient and historic Barbera grape it is uniquely distinct in its soft yet bright almost tangy taste. It offers gentle aromas of cherry, blackberries and blueberries that carries over into a rounded mouthfeel. Deep in color, high in acidity, mellow in tannins and a rustic character you can almost feel a warm Merlot plum character sliding pass the roof of your mouth. Limited in distribution it is well worth a try If you find it. Cheers 🍷
