Wahluhke Slope Cabernet Sauvignon

Delicious! Smooth black cherry and vanilla, with a hint of spice. I will be hoarding this one!

After a few minutes in the decanter, I was getting the usual vanilla and spice notes of an oaked cab, but an hour or more later and it was all cocoa and milk chocolate. Softer tannins than I was expecting, but still paired well with a grilled steak. The LCBO only has a few bottles left, so I'll be scrounging for more while I still can.

Paired excellently with veal. Fuller bodied wine. Distinctive notes of black currants, plum, hearty berries. Finished off with earthy undertones, vanilla.

Very dry and peppery.

I'm not a Merlot drinker and this has great fragrant notes and is balanced quite well. Easy to drink alone or with a good beef tenderloin.

Nice and smooth with black cherry, mocha, and caramel. Great wine for the price!
