Happy Friday! I popped open this very nice, full bodied, dark plum colored Petite Sirah. Right off the bat I smelled notes of dark fruit. A little tannic but has a nice finish with blueberry and blackberry on the tongue. I probably should have decanted but I was too anxious to open it! Cheers!

The initial attack on the nose instantly reminded me of Michael David’s Petite Petit: slightly perfumed with ripe dark fruits, hawthorn, vanilla, and black pepper. Palate, though less layered and less multi-facet, is more balanced with high tone acidity and velvety tannins. The more I drink, the more I like it.

My favorite color of wine. Nothing earth shattering here. Mild petite. This one has more toward the spice and less on the fruit. Clean finish though. I would drink again
