Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Spectacular vintage! Drinkable now and for the next several decades.

We decanted for about an hour in advance. Hint of cherry, lots of cassis/black currant, a faint thinned-butterscotch at the start of the finish. Oak seems present but not overbearing. An extremely enjoyable wine that felt balanced and complete.

My parents came into town!!! We enjoyed this bottle with some of our grass fed Prime Rib.

Delicious, lengthy oaky finish

Surprisingly expressive aromas but a bitter 'green' quality and tightly closed tannins will require a few more years of rest in bottle or a few hours to breathe in glass.
