Leave it to the MAN to craft the most sought after (and most expensive) domestic Chardonnay out there. #biennacido #respect Thanks to Chris Hammell for sharing this gem.

Only about 50 cases of this 100% Chardonnay made by Manfred. I now fear that the rarity combined with the crazy prices being demanded for the few bottles produced will destine most to be held as trophies by well-heeled collectors who will never taste them. And that's a shame because this wine is epic! Decadent and unapologetic, this is a mouth-coating monster of a Chardonnay, crafted as only Manfred can. White flowers, apricots, peaches with a hint of buttered popcorn on the nose. Explosive mid palate finishing with a touch of butterscotch. Densely concentrated and layered. Lingering finish. Recommend a lengthy decant. Right up there with Rien Ne Va Plus as my all time favorite SQN White. Interesting because that was a 100% Roussanne. Maybe Manfred should reconsider blending? Don't think I'll make that suggestion!

Doing 32 SQN Reds and 6 whites as well as a number of his stickies
tonight. This is the largest tasting of Sine Qua Non wines that I have ever heard about.

1st 100 % Chard from Manfred.

Mon Dieu! Chard From SQN??
Is there anything the man can't do? So concentrated and full-bodied. Absolutely decadent. Hope to see more of these in the future.

Most would not be able to identify this rare gem as Cali Chard, but the group consensus was that this was an epic awesome wine. Another Krankl SQN stunner.
