Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

AEL
9.2

I love this stuff. Perfectly balances a creamy, comfort-wine vibe with real sophistication. Behind the creaminess, distinct blueberry, crushed red berry, pepper notes. I previously reviewed the 2020; I think this is slightly better. At mom's. — 20 days ago

Rombauer Vineyards

Carneros Chardonnay 2022

Founded in 1982 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer and sits on a tree covered knoll overlooking the Napa Valley, with caves that extend for over a mile. Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and tropical fruit, sweet oak, spice and floral scents. On the palate flavors of ripe peach, melon and apple, with vanilla spice, creamy texture. Medium+ finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with mineral notes. — 4 days ago

Corison

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

2019 vintage. PNP. Sultry and sexy. Light-medium/medium bod. The Corison Cabernets occupy a deliciously distinctive, Napa niche. This vintage is no less than that standard. Slightly less “busy” than the 2018, the 2019 continues to bring the must-have goods to market. Herbs, earth, woods, cassis, anise, kapow and blammo all easily found within. When you come across a jaded Napa Cab person (raises both hands), this baddy restores the faith. 01.20.25. — 4 days ago

Belle Glos

Las Alturas Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

Really tasty. Perhaps the first Cali Pinot noir that I’ve enjoyed, also probably because it drinks more like a zin. Dark opaque red. Slightly smokey. Full bodied. Bought it on sale for $35. Would love to have again. Had with apps on New Year’s Eve, but would be great with food and could even hold up to a heartier meal (steak, etc). — 23 days ago

Pine Ridge Vineyards

Clarksburg Chenin Blanc + Viognier Blend 2023

Been a standard in the often underrated white blend space for years. Still remains the quality that I’d expect from them which over delivers for the price. Melon and honey. Lovely wine. — 6 days ago
