Really rich and fruit forward: Blackberry, Plum, black cherry, black currant. Baking spices on palate and drying but soft tannins.

Typical Spottswoode equals typically delicious. Ok young but yo I'm 58. What am I supposed to do? Wait until I'm 78 when everything tastes like Welch's grape juice and my palate is discerning not. Anywho I liked the fact that yes I decantered to speed time for four hours and what did I get for my patience? Dark red, lingering tannins, pepper, baking spices, and blackberry.

Great structure and balance with loads of Black fruits and plumb. A nice dusting of cocoa accentuates a lengthy enjoyable finish.

I was expecting a lot more considering it's Spotswoode. But this is a pretty serious wine and needs quite a bit of age. Very tight blackberry like fruit, pencil lead, and cocoa. Will gain several points in the future. Definitely has the Spotswoode polish and balance.

Floral aromas of rose petals give way to blackberry flavors. Great structure and power, combined with expert balance and a long finish. Just delicious.
