We serendipitously happened upon a 2015 St Innocent Pinot Noir at the Whole Foods in Hillsboro and although a little pricey at $42 - this has been on my must have list. It didn’t disappoint. It has a nose with fresh red cherries, ground baking spices, menthol, and a hint of anise. It’s layered in the mouth with bright red cherries, wild blackberries, subtle spices, and floral notes. We decanted for an hour while relaxing in the McMenamin’s hot pool before enjoying the wine in the garden with some roasted chicken and grilled veg (also from Whole Foods!) A very good night with a very good wine!

Sep 21st, 2018Still young - she's a baby (only bottled 7 months ago) - but very rich and a lot of fruit on the front and a soft velvety mouth feel. Good now and likely great later.
