Powerful yet reserved, deep, and harmonious. Pronounced notes of black fruits such as blackberry, blackcurrant and plum, followed by complex mix of black tea, cocoa, anise, cedar, worn leather, vanilla, herbs, and dry soil. Palate, though still a bit tight, is warm and finely textured, underpinned by sleek acidity and fine grained tannins. Gorgeous!
Salus was specially created for the charitable cause of metal health research. From the younger vines of the estate. Aged 19 month French oak barrel, 90% new.
