The Leap Estate Grown Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon Blend
A blend of 90% Cab Sauv, 7% Petit Verdot & 3% Malbec, aged in 50% new French oak for 20 months. Deep Ruby with purple edges, aromas of dark fruits, oak and herb spice. On the palate flavors of plum, blackberry, currants, cacao and cigar-box spice. Full-bodied, fine smooth tannins on a long finish ending with fruit, spice and oak, very pleasant. Just starting to drink well, plenty of room to age!! Very Nice!

Mar 21st, 2021Surprisingly light on flavor, restrained on ABV, and bringing far less “gravitas” than expected. Nothing off-putting, bitter, or deficient… just shy and frankly boring. Would be disappointed if I purchased the wine… holiday gift that I’ll bet was north of a $100. No complexity, creativity, or mystery…quel damage!
