Jed Steele has worked making wine in California since the late 1960s. In 1991, he founded his own small winery in Lake County. Tried a 375ml bottle. Medium red with a Berry fruit nose giving off spice. On the palate, cherry and strawberry flavors together with oak and tea spice taking center stage. Savory Tannins are present in a medium finished, OK. 2013 is a bit better than the 2012.

With an hour decant the wine drank very balanced with very clean, pure red fruit.

Dec 5th, 2015Deep raspberry and Bing cherry. Honestly like some of the best raspberry I've picked from a wine ever just rounded well and deep in the flavor. Pretty fruit bowl-y which I personally enjoy. Typical California Pinot. Some sediment in the mix too.
