Re- review of another Encore series 20th Anniversary Stone Beer, this time having it super fresh, 3 days from bottling date, Added the "Still" on the label, nice fruity hops, melon, nectarine, peach, orange rind, malt is present but not like the last time I had it, so the hops are more easy to distinguish and taste, AVB is quite hidden, drinks like a much lighter AVB, still not a big fan of this, not as tropical as I would like and not so much hopped forward as I would like either, it is a good DIPA, but nothing to go out of your way for, only get this one again because it was so fresh

Three breweries coming to together to make a double IPA, may I add three great breweries, sounds like it cannot miss, right? Well it kind of does, yes this is very different and because of all the "New" hops they use, it taste like nothing I can compare it to, so maybe that is good, right? Well not really, there is some really good things going on and then some really strange things as well, first the good, big hops right up front, followed by some sweet malts, the hops are not really citrus, more like hereby, malts have some spice, like ginger or nutmeg, then the strange part, the finish is bitter, which I could only describe as when you crush a aspirin in your mouth, that makes this for me not a very great IPA or beer in fact, the finish kills it, still not bad, but strange indeed

Not as good as Stone Enjoy By, but still a nice hop forward IPA.

Not the best Stone we've had, but ok. Open, different hoppy.
