Pulled this after visiting Alexander Valley today and tasting at Skipstone (Highly recommended!) Stonestreet’s 1996 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon shows damp earth, tomato leaf, cedar, graphite, tobacco, and charcoal, with a faded edge of black cherry and dried currant. While it’s certainly on its last leg, it’s a sturdy leg that’s not giving in anytime soon.
