Switchback Ridge
Peterson Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Drinking this wine tonight by myself watching b-ball must be like hitting a hole in one by yourself , wine needed to be tasted by others to understand what happened tonight , glad I have one left

Apr 4th, 2017Black cassis, fig, date, prune nose. Ripe blackberries, dark cherries, strawberries that have taken on a slight port character. Lots of dark, soft sweet minerality/black earth and not a ton else. Simple but easy to drink.

Sep 18th, 2016Didn't find it as intriguing as their Merlot. Probably because this is nowhere near its window of drinking.

Mar 15th, 2014Two very big & bold Napa Cabs the Switchback pulls it off, the Lewelling may be a little too over the top.

Mar 31st, 2019Subtle blue fruit, licorice and earthiness on the nose. Bold tastes of chocolate covered cherries and licorice on the palate. Tannins are ultra sleek. Very nicely integrated wine. I would say it is as good as any Cabernet out there. And the price point is unbelievable. One of the best I've ever had from Napa.
