#5 of my tasting pack is from one of my favorite producers in entire Burgundy-Sylvain Cathiard. Light ruby in color, delightful abundance of red fruit on the nose with licorice, milk chocolate and after some aeration earthy note-very typical of SC. However palate is not quite consistent with nose on this one. On the palate it is lighter body than the Echezeaux from Fourrier, so is its depth. Fruits are fading suggests it's already at peak. Further aging will not benefit this wine much. Though it's probably the most affordable from SC, I'm still hoping for something better than this.
