Classic mature village Gevrey-Chambertin. Red fruits - cherry, strawberry, plum, smoke and cloves from oak, violets, liquorice, tertiary earth, mushroom. Nice balancing acidity. Good depth but perhaps a little short on the finish. Went very well with Xmas day dinner.
