Our second Paso classic of the night was the always interesting Mourvèdre. While still clearly Paso, there is some great old world complexity here.

Needed an hour to breathe on opening; and considerably better on day 2. Milk-chocolate with red berries; good leathery depth. Yum.

2008, drank in 2014, color is light garnet fading to clear orange, unfiltered, nose is rich chocolate cherry baking spices, so flavorful! Spice, strawberry, black peppercorn, round tannins, medium + acidity... Love this wine, drink now!!
