Light to medium gold color, fine bubbles and nice energy in the flute. Great nose with notes of lemon, some baked bread, some vanilla, some cut apples and white chalky stone/soil. Great balance in the mouth. Very linear and certainly not flamboyant in its presentation. Somewhat quiet versus past bottles of this, yet the precision and quality are as evident as ever.

Medium gold color. Nice energy and bubble intensity. Notes of lemon, stones, crisp red apples. Expansive in the mouth. Toasty. More developed and complex than the 96 next to it. BDay dinner 1/12.

Love this vintage. In the zone but no rush, should go another 30.

With a white truffle course this was the perfect compliment Toasty yeasty nose, long finish. Acidity matches fruit. Nice age.
