Dark ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of balsamic, blackberry, black cherry, coffee, mocha, oak, sage, smoke, toast, tomato, and vanilla. Full body; heavy, firm tannins; and medium-high acidity. Robust, deep, and complex (especially after 13 years in the bottle). Rounds out as it opens up. An exemplary, bold California red blend made of 8 different varietals.
