Deep purple with notes of cherry candycane, prunes, figs, spice and tobacco. Onctuous body with sweetness balanced by a medium high acidity and tannins. On the palate, dried figs, cherries, prunes, some cinnamon and a long finish with a bit of licorice.

Our first deep dive into Port. Starts out sweet and ends like a stiff drink! Not sure if it is something we'd buy again, but we enjoyed the experience.

Sweet up front but not sweet overall. Notes of earthiness, minerality and blackberry. Starts smooth but finishes as a stiff drink (warmth, etc), which could be the added brandy's influence. Not a huge fan of port, but a good wine from a well-known brand.
