One of WS top 100 wines of 2015. Very dark ruby red. Aromas of fresh ripe black fruits, showing blackberry and cherry on the palate. Elegant style with rich fine grained tannins, still a bit tight, with an edge of sweetness. Well balanced, enjoyable, long finish ending with cacao notes. You can open this wine and it will still maintain freshness for a couple of weeks.

Black cherry, blueberry, ripe mission figs, intense and powerful, yet has elegance too. Superbly long finish (kind of standard for a good VP), this is a thinkers wine too. Also the Coravin could be the best thing ever invented for this wine category?

Mar 8th, 2014Vtg 2009: elegance, bing cherry, blueberries, spice and saddle leather, layers of flavor, though still tight come through, 30 mins in the glass changed the dimensions. Medium + tannins, frame a long, complex finish of fruit and spice.
