Al Muvedre Monastrell

Prefer these softer, less alcoholic monastrells from Alicante. Went seamlessly w grilled lamb. Tintus imports ( in Fla)

Dark red with jammy red fruit aromas. On the palate cheery and red plum flavors and typical spice from a Mourvèdre. Medium in body the wine has fine tannins, good balance with acidity and finishes with spice notes. Nice value. Easy drinking.

Nice buy for the $$. Grapey and dry with a tobacco note on the earthy finish.

Stewed plums, droopy roses, white pepper, dried blood, hot iron, and a very pleasing set of fonts on the label. Great value. 🥀🥓

Peppercorn shavings, licorice root, dark dried stone fruit. Good marriage of acidoakacid. Great buy for that classic Spanish terroir.

Black pepper, tar and sandalwood. Dark berry. Gripping tannins and medium acidity

Dark, ruby red, medium body, faint dried mango, sandalwood, sulphur, gunpowder burnt balsa wood on nose. Tons of tannins and acid. Wood carries into taste, dry finish, with wood, stem and seed lasting on tongue. Not quite for me but it seems like a good example of the style

Spicy and lots of groovy, sandalwood and sawdust notes. A lot of structure, both acid and tannin. Pretty austere on the finish.

Красные ягоды в аромате, чуток кислой сливы или терна; после декантирования - сигаретный табак, перец. Вкус полный, ярко-фруктовый, кислотность хорошая, танины мягкие. Прилично, value for money, 15,5/20. Спасибо Денису за рекомендации.
