Mix of beautiful yellow flower, green/underripe tropical fruits, anise-laden herbs and distinctive minerality. Palate shows its barrel upbringing, adding flesh and richness. You could argue it’s too much, but I think the earth, salty zippy, and herbal notes carry through enough to bring it all together. Underripe pineapple, green papaya, yellow plum, yellow flowers, green almond, fennel fronds, wormwood, salt, crushed rock, malo (?), tea leaves. A serious effort that pays off IMO

Such a wonderful Italian white...
Lemon curd, green tea and Reine Claude, just-right acidity, herbal and spicy, faint hints of peat, almonds and seaweed.
Great with todays’ Caesar Salad. And tomorrows’ Carbonara.
