Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia Bolgheri Rosso Merlot Blend

Extremely elegant but packs a punch through the finish and the tannins are no joke.

Merlot, Cab Franc, Cabernet blend. Elegant.

It took 3 hours to open up and I went from meh to mmm. 91-92.

First day pnp. Nose stil bit closed. Tanins still very present. Solid wine. For now 89. Lets see tomorrow. Second day a bit smoother than day 1. Tannins not that dominant anymore. Good wine, point. No reason to raise the score.

Winemakers dinner with Ornellaia. Loved it, but also here additional cellaring is needed. Elegance clearly starts popping up! Nice!

I’m a fan of this second label. This was good right out of the bottle. Dark cherry with mocha and oak. It isn’t tannic at all, open and well balanced.

Haven't drank this for some time but still very good. This was a young vintage but opened up after decanting for about half an hour. Could have let it breathed more but the crowd was too thirsty.
