Pre-2001 this used to be fresh zesty Marlborough style. Now a rich oaky exciting Sauvignon/Viognier/Vermentino.

Creamy and honeyed, fleshy fruit and viscous mouth feel. A slightly cloying sweetness but still enough lift to be enjoyable. Leans a lot more towards viognier than SB.

Mar 14th, 2017Very interesting - cream of the viognier, wet slate and acid from the sav blanc, white flowers from the (sav Gris?) - elegance and approachability from the oak- superb. Lemongrass, fennel, and kumquat. Like a top Bordeaux blanc that is less acidic.

Wonderful surprise great aromatic presentation, crisp, clean with vibrant aciditics. A self confident well balanced pleasure with a mineral laden long length finish. A real find , now on my list. Cheers 🍷
