Tenuta dell'Ornellaia
Poggio alle Gazze Toscana Sauvignon Blanc
Yoooo… what is this gem???? I’m smitten. Not what I was expecting but definitely what I needed. Soft and creamy but also wonderfully strong and rich with honeydew melon and mango? Is that mango? Some vanilla too, I think.

Aug 21st, 2021Poggio alle Gazze dell’Ornellaia Toscana Bianco IGT 2017: Medium-bodied. Great structure & balance. Lively acidity. Big floral nose with bright, ripe fruit flavors: Lemon, tangerine, peach, green apple, grapefruit & pineapple. Good minerality and a rich & smooth finish. Made from 81% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Vermentino, 6% Viognier & 3% Verdicchio, this big white blend presents a great concentration of flavors & depth making this an interesting and fan-favorite selection. Overall, I loved this expressive white blend Italian wine and feel it exudes excellent quality & finesse. Highly recommend! Cheers🍷

Mar 8th, 2022Fabulously crafted Sauvignon blanc from a great producer from Italy that rivals some of the nice bottles from the Loire valley. Almond paste, lemon peal, and hints of melon with a bit of funk in it from the fermentation style. Great length and creamy texture. Thumbs up.
